language volunteer

Some foreigners living in Itabashi Ward have trouble with the language barrier. The Itabashi Foundation for Culture and International Exchange is looking for "Language Volunteers" to support such people through interpretation and translation.
Would you like to use your language skills to help foreigners in need?

1. Registration requirements

Those who have high language skills in both Japanese and foreign languages necessary for the following activities.
In the case of translation, those who can create documents in Word and Excel.

*Age and nationality do not matter.

1. Activity place

Municipal Green Hall or Bunka Kaikan, etc.

2. Volunteer activities

① Volunteer interpreter

Procedures at the ward office, interviews at elementary and junior high schools in the ward, interpreting at exchange events hosted by the ward, etc.

(XNUMX) Translation volunteers

Translation of application forms, notices, event information, etc. issued by the ward

3. Misc

We will contact you as necessary based on the list of members registered as language volunteers.

4.Protection of personal information

Introduction and mediation of volunteer activities will be done through Itabashi Culture and International Exchange Foundation.In addition, we will not provide information to a third party without confirming the person's intention.

5. CONFIDENTIALITY

Those registered as language volunteers have a confidentiality obligation not to leak information obtained through their activities to a third party other than themselves.

6. Reward

Interpreter Volunteer: We will give you a reward equivalent to transportation expenses.
Volunteer translators: Rewards will be paid according to the number of pages translated.

*The actual amount you receive will be after deducting income tax.
