The youth brass band class aims to cultivate a spirit of mutual respect through brass band music, to promote music culture, and to promote the sound upbringing of young people. As such, it is one of the longest-running projects of the Foundation, which began in the 1970s.

Classes are held 4 times a year, mainly on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, in the Bunka Kaikan rehearsal room and practice room for students from the 3th grade of elementary school to the 25rd grade of high school who live or go to school in the city.

The contents are taught by specialized teachers in groups for each instrument, flute, clarinet, and trumpet.

Presentations are held in November at the Citizens' Cultural Festival "Youth Music Gathering", and in March, a presentation of the results of the year is held. The student, who continued for 11 years, from the 3th grade of elementary school to the 1rd grade of high school, performed proudly as a soloist at the final presentation, and received a big round of applause from the audience.Indeed, "continuity is power".

For those who do not have an instrument, the foundation lends it.Don't just enjoy listening to music, why not enjoy playing it?We are looking forward to your participation.
