(ICIEF Elementary Japanese Class, Wednesday Conversation Salon)

The foundation holds Japanese language classes for foreigners living, working, or studying in Itabashi Ward so that they can acquire the necessary Japanese for living in Japan.
For foreigners who feel uneasy and inconvenient about living in a foreign country, learning Japanese is the first step to making life easier.Our goal is to help you understand the language and culture necessary for living in Japan and living in a comfortable environment.As part of this support, Japanese language volunteers from the Japanese Language Classes of the Foundation provide support for teaching Japanese to foreigners.We will communicate with foreigners from various countries through Japanese and help foreigners live in the community with peace of mind.The sight of many Japanese language volunteers working together to create a Japanese language class is full of energy, and everyone is enthusiastic about their activities.

1. Volunteer activities

  • ICIEF Beginner Japanese Class
    ・Thursday course morning session (10:00-12:00)
    ・Tuesday and Friday Course Night (18:30-20:30)
    Japanese language support for foreigners in a class system (3 classrooms)
  • ICIEF Wednesday Conversation Salon Wednesday only twice a day 
    ・Morning session (10:00-11:30)
    ・Night time (18:30-20:00)
    One-on-one or small group conversation support
  • Support for speech contests, events related to Japanese language classes, etc.

Municipal Green Hall or Bunka Kaikan, etc.

3. Activity requirements

  • ICIEF Beginner Japanese Class 
    Mandatory attendance at the “Japanese Volunteer Training Course” held by the Foundation 
    *There is a selection, regardless of age or nationality.
    *The date of the event will be announced on the public relations website.
  • ICIEF Wednesday Conversation Salon 
    ・Recruitment at any time Flow of application
